Delete your SmallCaps account
This page explains how users of the SmallCaps app can request deletion of their account and associated personal data.

SmallCaps account deletion request
If you use the SmallCaps app and want your account deleted, send your request to hello@smallcaps.com.au.
How to request deletion
- Email hello@smallcaps.com.au with the subject line "Account deletion request".
- Include the email address used for your SmallCaps account and your full name.
- If you want us to remove specific portfolio or watchlist data as part of the request, say that in the email.
- We may contact you to verify that you control the account before deletion is completed.
Data that is deleted
- Your SmallCaps account profile and onboarding preferences
- Watchlists, saved tickers, notification settings, and push tokens
- Portfolio data and any simulated account records you created in the app
- Marketing preferences and non-essential support history tied only to the app account
Data we may retain
- Records we must keep to comply with legal, regulatory, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, or security obligations
- Identity verification, compliance, and audit records where retention is required by law
- Information needed to resolve disputes, enforce agreements, or complete outstanding transactions
Retention period
Once your identity and request are verified, we will process deletion of account data that is not required to be retained. Some records may be kept for the period required by applicable law, regulation, fraud-prevention, tax, accounting, or dispute-resolution obligations. For financial-services and compliance records, that retention period is typically up to 7 years from account closure or from the relevant transaction, and may be longer if required by law.
